What is a 2 way switch?

If you need to use one or two switches to control a light, you need a 2-way switch. This allows for up to 2 switches to control one light. One-way switches are less common, so many use 2-way switches when just having one switch control one light.

For convenience these items are provided separately. This allows the installer to determine the most appropriate sequence for items to be assembled on the plate based on room layout and required operation.
