What is the difference between a chrome and nickel finish?
They are both highly reflective finishes and have silver tones. However polished chrome is considered to be colder with a slightly bluer tone. Nickel is warmer with what is considered a slightly yellower/white tone which can give the appearance of ageing.
What IP rating is suitable for an outdoor socket?
An IP44 rating is required for most applications as long as the socket is not exposed to heavy rain. IP65+ rating on sockets is required for all outdoor use.
Do double USB sockets need a different size back box?

A mounting box depth of 35mm is required for double USB sockets.

Can I put floor sockets on the wall?

A mounting box depth of 47mm is required.

What size back box do I need for retractive switches?

Can I use a retractive switch as a regular light switch in standard domestic home wiring?

Are your dimmers compatible with halogen, incandescent and LED?

Yes, they are intelligent dimmers so they will figure out what they are driving, the only thing to be mindful of is to not mix the type of bulbs on one circuit, e.g. halogen with LED bulbs.

What is the minimum number of watts I can run through a dimmer?

For a 250 w dimmer the minimum is -5w and for a 150 w dimmer minimum is 5w.

What are the different settings on the dimmers for?

How many bulbs can I attach to your dimmer?

The 250 w will handle 100 watts of LED bulbs, but 250 watts of incandescent and halogen bulbs. 400w will handle 150 w of LED and 400 watts of incandescent and halogen. Do not exceed maximum wattage.

What back box do your products fit in?

Our switches are compatible with a 25mm back box. A mounting box depth of 35mm is required for dimmers, single, standard double and double USB sockets.
